The days of Ashara Mubaraka are finally here. The days of matam and buka with Dai al HusainAS have arrived. Mumineen from around the world will flock towards their Dai with the love of Imam HusainAS in their hearts and the tasbeeh of Imam HusainAS on their lips. With each step their love and devotion will get deeper and their eyes will flow with tears of both sorrow and joy – sorrow for the martyrs of Karbala and the joy of hearing the account of Karbala from the Husaini Dai Syedna Mufaddal SaifuddinTUS. Even those who aren’t able to be with their Dai physically will surely be with him by attending waaz wherever it is held with his raza mubarak.
Al Hayy al Muqaddas Syedna Mohammed BurhanuddinRA once said in his bayan:
When Imam Ali Zainul AbedeenAS returned from Karbala to Madina, the people of Madina came out of the city to receive the son of Imam HusainAS. They left behind their work and their homes and came to their Imam to listen to the citation of Karbala and to mourn the martyrdom of Imam HusainAS. Today, Ali Zainul Abedeen’s Dai has come for the zikr of Imam HusainAS, by the raza of Imam uz ZamanAS. And by his raza waezeen have come to your cities for the buka and matam of Husain ImamAS. So, I ask you, and all others – men, women, children – those who are in service, schools and colleges, doctors, engineers, lawyers and people of diverse talents – mumineen all of you – I have come to relate Imam Ali Zainul Abedeen’sAS account to you.
What will you do now? Will you not leave your homes, your work, your chores and come for the zikr of Imam HusainAS? Will you not come for the matam and mourning of Imam HusainAS? Will you not come to earn jannat?
In the light of this bayan of Al Hayy al Muqaddas Syedna Mohammed BurhanuddinRA, let us all ask ourselves this question. Will we not attend the waaz of Imam HusainAS during these auspicious days of Ashara Mubaraka? Will we not leave behind our jobs, our schools, our exams and come to earn the happiness of our Dai Syedna Mufaddal SaifuddinTUS? Imam Ali Zainul Abedeen’s Dai is calling us for the zikr of Imam HusainAS. Will we not answer his call with our matam and buka?
