12th Rabi-Ul-Awwal (570 A.D.)
Rasalullah (SAW) was born on Monday 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal fifty days after the arrival of King Abrahat with his elephants in Mecca (Aam-ul-Fil). Several miracles accompanied the birth of Rasulullah (SAW) - cracks appeared in the palace of King Nawshirwan of Persia, the fires in the temples there that had burnt incessantly for years were extinguished, the waters of Lake Sawa suddenly decreased, idols fell from their altars and sooth sayers who held sway over society lost their powers.
12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, 10 Hijri (632 A.D.)
It is believed that Rasulullah (SAW) passed away on the same day this year. Other sources mention 28th Safr as the day of his demise. During his last hours Rasulullah (SAW) gathered his Ehle-Bait, embraced Imam Hassan (AS) and Imam Husain (AS), rested his head on Amir-ul-Mumineen's chest and passed away.
Rasulullah (SAW) had appointed Ali (AS) as his successor. But the enemies of Ehle-Bait did not accept Ali (AS) as their Imam; they did not attend the janaza namaz of Rasulullah (SAW) instead they gathered in Saqifa to discuss the issue of succession for themselves.
12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1415 Hijri (1994 A.D.)
The sad demise of Um-ul-Mumineen, Amatullah Aaisaheba shocked and grieved Mumineen the world over. They remembered the kind word, the smile, the need fulfilled, the heart unburdened…. they came to London to bid farewell to their beloved Busaheba and to offer taziyat to their Maula (TUS). Here they witnessed an amazing event…the janaza of Busaheba lay on one side. On the other Aqa Maula (TUS) donned his kasbi dupatta and called for sharbat in keeping with the traditional ceremony. Only Rasulullah's (SAW) Dai could have the fortitude to thus express his khushi on Milad-un-Nabi.
