The Akhbaar (history) of Awliyaullah (AS) differs from any other history in three fundamental concepts: it is continuous, it is live, and it is predetermined.
Any history is but a record of scattered events occurring sporadically; it is a disjointed almanac of dynasties and kingdoms none of which can outlast time. History is dead, in the sense that it preserves the record of those who pass into the past through the threshold of life. Some say that a legend's deeds are documented in his life but the seal of finality is put only by the stamp of death. Finally, most of history is coincidental. One may only glance through the reams of history to know that the major bends and turns on its path are caused by serendipity and coincidence.
The history of Awliya-ullah (AS) is continuous. It revolves around the unbroken chain of the succession of the Aimmat and the Duat. It is live in the sense that there always exists an heir to the Aimmat and Duat, a living legacy to their magnificence. It is not accidental or coincidental, but a predetermined and a predicated truth. History of the world is but a verification and witness to this truth.
These three fundamental and distinguishing features of the history of Awliya-ullah (SA) are connected to the presence of their successor, who present in all ages, is the repository of their wisdom, the manifest of their glory, and the receptacle of their noor. While time and place maybe the main frameworks and points of reference for any other history, the 'waaris'or the successor of Aimmat and Duat is the point of reference for their history.
Today, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Aqa (TUS) is the representative of Imam-uz-Zaman and the true 'waaris' of Aimmat and Duat. He is the heir to their position, their glory, their virtue, their knowledge and wisdom. Wherever he goes, history comes to life there. Maula's(TUS) recent journey to Misr on the occasion of Imam-uz-Zaman's Milaad and his subsequent tour to Yemen on the occasion of Dai-zaman's Milaad was the tracing of the path of history.
Awliyaullah (AS) are the sources of barakat (divine blessings) and wherever they reside they leave the traces of these barakat for eternity. But, when their waaris, travels to these places, then history springs to life and the barakaat increase manifold and people present find themselves witnessing the resurrection of the past in the present. Such was the phenomenon witnessed by mumineen who attended the Milaad Mubarak of Maula (TUS) in the historical country of Yemen and saw the unforgettable sight of Maula (TUS) standing near the Qabr Mubarak of Syedna Hatim Mohiyuddin (RA) in the splendidly built new Qubba Mubarakah. Any history which chronicles the lives of these luminaries and captures these events can be nothing but a guiding light for all mankind. Thus, this history is aptly called 'Akhbaar Anwaar', the illuminated history.
