An Abbasi Khalifa went deer hunting. Every time he got close to the deer it ran to a small hill for protection. Even though he tried many times, the Khalifa was unable to kill the deer. This went on for several days.
Disappointed, the Khalifa asked the local people why he could not catch the deer, but no one was able to give him an answer.
A mumin mukhlis, a Shia, came to the Khalifa saying: If you promise not to punish me, I will tell you why you cannot catch the deer. The Khalifa gave his promise. The Shia replied, "The hill that the deer runs to is the place of the qabr mubarak of Maulana Ali ibn Abi Talib (SA). No harm can ever come to anyone who seeks refuge at his qabr mubarak."
