Sijilmasa 296 H : The time destined for the zuhoor of Imam ul Mahdi (AS) had almost come. It was a hot day. The Imam (AS), then in satar, was seated in a garden beside his palace. His son, Imam Mohammed al Qaim (AS) who was playing nearby, stepped into a dried-up spring. Miraculously, the spring erupted from the ground by the barakat of the feet of this son. The gardener, watching from a distance, shouted "The Mehdi is here. The Mehdi is here". The man was brought to the Imam (AS). He explained that it had been ordained that the spring would reemerge only at the arrival of Mehdi (AS) or his son. Therefore, the man was convinced that the Imam (AS) was indeed the Mehdi…
Centuries later…
Surat 1333 H: It is the time for Syedna Taher Saifuddin's (RA) ascension to the throne of dawat. The dawat is overcast with clouds of discord. A son Mohammed is born in his house. A son who brings glad tidings, a son whose birth heralds the advent of a golden age in dawat fatemiyyah. A son, who is a spring of barakaat, a source of saadat.
The birth date of his son, 20th Rabi al akhar, by no small coincidence, corresponds to the date of Imam Mahdi's (AS) zuhoor in Raqqada. Syedna Taher Saifuddin's (RA) era was characterized by the signs of zuhoor: propagation of Ilm, upliftment of mumineen, victories over dawat's enemies and much more. And his son and successor, the spring of barakaat, was by his side at all times. The seeds were sown, then. And when Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS) ascended the throne, the dawat reached unprecedented heights.
