Rasulullah's (SA) counsel to Imam Husain (AS):

My beloved son,

• Sleep on your back: this will flatten your stomach.



• Drink water slowly: it will digest your food.



• Apply kajal to your eyes an odd number of times: it will enhance your vision.



• Follow the sunnat of your Nabi by anointing your hair with oil, on alternate days.



• Wear new shoes for they are a man's adornment.



• Wear a new turban for it is the Arab's crown.



• Cook your meat with extra gravy: if there is no meat to send your neighbors you can send them gravy for indeed the gravy is part of the meat.



• Wear a ruby ring: it is maimoon and mubarak. When a man sees his reflection in the ruby it adds to his radiance. When he prays namaaz he will be rewarded for praying seventy namaaz.



• Wear the ring in your right hand. This is my sunnat and the sunnat of the prophets; he who turns against my sunnat is not one among us.



• Never wear a ring in your left hand, and never without a ruby or an aqeeq.
