Imam Hasan (AS) succeeded Amir ul mumineen (AS) to the Imamat. The Iraqis abandoned him; the Kufis in particular proved disloyal. Imam Hasan (AS) chose to sign a truce, and hand over the affairs of state to Moawiyah. Many questioned his action, including Jabir bin Abdullah, the faithful companion of Rasulullah (SA).

From a legal perspective, the Hakimi Darga Case holds even more significance than the much celebrated Chandabhoy Galla Case. The Chandabhoy Case was binding only on the courts within the Province of Bombay. Thus issues settled there were raised once again in Burhanpur which was in the then Central Province. The final verdict was given by the Privy Council which was the final court of appeal in India at the time.
The first type of jihad is by the sword, however it is not justified without Imam ul adl. The second type is by the tongue: debating with the enemy and demonstrating the legitimacy of Islam is very much a part of Jihad. The third kind is that of the heart: Bara'at with the enemy is obligatory at all times.
Clipping of the nails is part of Taharat. Shariat directs that: 1) A mumin should trim his nails every Friday. This will result in shifa of the fingers.
