Glad Tidings

In this auspicious month we await the glorious day of the milaad of the 51st Dai al Mutlaq Syedna Taher Saifuddin (RA). Many glad tidings, bisharaat, had been received from his predecessors predicting his golden era and his exalted status.

During the age of Syedna Abdulqader Najmuddin (RA) enemies conspired against Dawat. When Syedna was asked why he remained silent, he answered, "The fifth Dai to come after me, shall take revenge".

Syedna Abdeali Saifuddin (RA) in a waaz in Mandvi predicted, "I am Abdeali Saifuddin. A hundred years hence, my namesake Saifuddin will take my place".

When Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (RA), the 49th Dai al Mutlaq and father to Syedna Taher Saifuddin (RA), visited Kerbala accompanied by Aaisaheba Amatullah Aaisaheba who was with child, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (RA) instructed her to stand close to the zarih mubarak so that the barakat of Imam Husain (AS) would reach the child in her womb. The child was Syedna Taher Saifuddin (RA).

At the age of 5, Syedna Taher Saifuddin (RA) was gifted a small sword, a saif, by Syedna Abdul Husain Husamuddin (RA). The laqab, Saifuddin, was given to him much later.

At the time of nass, Syedna Abdullah Badruddin (RA) placed his hand on Syedna Taher Saifuddin's (RA) shoulder and expressed the hope that he would be graced by the zuhur of Imam uz zaman. These tidings came true: such were the glories of the Saify era.

In Najam Wari, Mumbai, there was a small room which contained an original painting of Syedna Abdulqadir Najmuddin (RA), the 47th Dai al Mutlaq. Syedi Abdeali Mohyuddin (RA) who was tutor to Syedna Taher Saifuddin (RA) for almost seven years prior to his succession, took Syedna Taher Saifuddin (RA) especially to see the painting and exclaimed, "This portrait has great likeness to Syedna Abdulqadir Najmuddin (RA) as I remember him. If only you had seen Syedna Najmuddin (RA).... If only Syedna Najmuddin (RA) had seen you!"
