Very few months in the Hijri calendar are filled with as many significant events as the auspiciously historical month of Rajab. The name 'Rajab' is appended with the word 'al-asab', an adjective generally used to describe a cloud that pours down heavily. Similarly, the month of Rajab brings in showers of heavenly blessings.
The 16th Surah of the Quran e Majeed is named Sura tun Nahl after a tiny creature, that captures some of the mysteries of creation. From the shape of its body; the large eyes on its head to the sting on its tail, from the hexagonal cells of its hive to the golden panacea that it produces-the honey bee is one of the miracles of Allah.
A Hamdani came up to Syedna, and said mockingly, "While you pray and recite the Quran, an army advances towards the fort." Syedna (RA) replied: "Allah, the Creator, the Merciful will aid us." Soon after, an informant brought news of a disagreement within the enemy ranks that had caused it to disperse.
What are you credentials-inside and outside the community?
My credentials? I am a humble follower of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS) - and with that, I have found meaning to my life, like most mumineen have. I have very few credentials beyond that. I have had some unique privileges in serving Aqa Maula (TUS), for which I am very grateful. One such privilege was the writing of the biography of Aqa Maula(TUS), a great honour indeed.
Once Rasulullah (SAW) asked Fatema (SA) to
witness zabihat. He said to her: The first drop of blood is an
absolution from all sins. On the day of Qayamat, the skin, hair meat
and fur of the animal will be placed in your meezan (scale) and
Allah will multiply this for you.
Imam Ali Zain ul 'Abedeen (SA) distributed meat of
zabihat into three portions: one for the neighbors, one for
beggars and the third he kept aside for his Ahl ul Bayt.
Aqiqa-in Arabic-literally means the hair that the child is
born with. Aqiqa is obligatory for every newborn; it is performed
either on the 7th, 14th or 21st day from birth. If the parents of the
child fail to perform aqiqa, then the child must do it himself/herself
after bulugh.
Rasulullah (SAW) had said to Amir ul mumineen (SA):
You shall fight for the taweel of the Quran as I battled for
its tanzeel. Rasulullah (SAW) fought 28 battles
with the kuffar, and after his wafaat Amir ul mumineen
(SA) was left to fight three wars with the munafeqeen.
Amir ul mumineen (SA) accepted zahiri khilafat
after the death of Uthman, 26 years after Rasulullah (SAW).
Amir ul mumineen (SA) instructed that the Bayt ul maal be
equally distributed among the muslimeen. Talha and Zubayr, so called
As'haab of Rasulullah (SAW) who made a show of allegiance
to Maulana Ali (SA), were disappointed when they received
their share. They expected more:
