One day Amir ul mumineen (SA) went to the bazaar of Medina with some clothes that he intended to sell. He sold them for 6 dirhams. He wished to buy food for his family with the money but on the way he gave it away to a beggar.
As Amir ul mumineen (SA) was returning home empty handed, he met a villager with a camel. The villager asked Amir ul mumineen (SA) to buy his camel. Amir ul mumineen (SA) said that he had no money to purchase it. The villager replied that he didn't require the money immediately, and thus Amir ul mumineen (SA) agreed to buy it on credit. The villager quoted 100 dirhams for the camel. The villager handed the camel to Amir ul mumineen (SA).
In the meantime, another villager came by and asked Amir ul mumineen (SA) if he wished to sell his camel. Amir ul mumineen (SA) replied that he had bought the camel from the first villager on credit, for 100 dirhams. The second villager agreed to buy the camel for 160 dirhams in cash. Amir ul mumineen (SA) agreed to sell. From the money he received Amir ul mumineen (SA) gave 100 dirhams that he owed to the first villager and went to Rasulullah (SAW) happily with the remaining 60 dirhams.
Rasulullah (SAW) smiled and said that the seller was as noble as the buyer. He revealed that the villager who had sold Amir ul mumineen (SA) the camel was in fact Jibraeel, and the villager who had bought it from him was Mikaeel. Amir ul mumineen (SA) had given the beggar 6 dirhams, and he was granted 60 dirhams in return. Rasulallah (SAW) related to Amir ul mumineen (SA) that if he had given more he would have received more.
