Eat Meat !

Rasulullah (SAW) states: "Meat is the king of all foods in this world and the hereafter; water is the king of all liquids. Meat helps develop the body's muscular structure. If one doesn't consume meat for forty days his character shall regress."

Imam Mohammed ul Baqir (AS) says: Eating meat helps improve eyesight and hearing. It increases strength.

Imam Jaafar us Sadiq (AS) narrates: One day, one of Allah's Nabis complained of weakness. Allah instructed him to partake of a meal of meat cooked in milk as both are blessed with barakat. The Nabi did accordingly and regained his strength. This dish is popularly known as Khurdi.

Rasulullah (SAW) loved meat and proclaimed: We Quresh are "lahmeeyoon" (non-vegetarians). The calf (leg) of an animal was Rasulullah's (SAW) favorite portion of meat.

Once Rasulullah (SAW) was offered a preparation of meat that was poisoned. As he extended his hands towards the dish the goat called out: I am poisoned!

Rasulullah (SAW) in one of his teachings to Imam Husain (AS) says: When you cook meat, prepare it with plenty of broth so that if you are unable to share the meat with your neighbors, you can at least send them the broth, as the broth is also a part of the meat.

Scientific studies show that apart from an essential element for the development of the muscular structure; meat is also an important source of iron, which is vital for making red blood cells. Although many foods contain iron, the body can most easily absorb it from meat. Eating meat also aids the absorption of iron from vegetables and cereals.
