"O muslimeen! A great and auspicious month is approaching you. There is a night in this month in which every act (of piety) is better than the same act performed repeatedly over a thousand months.
"Namaaz is incomplete without this surah. Reciting al Hamd in namaaz is sufficient by itself, while reciting any other surah without al Hamd is unacceptable. If one forgets al Hamd, he must pray again.
Syedna Ezzuddin (RA) was personally trained for the position of Dai al Mutlaq by Syedna Abdeali Saifuddin (RA) and continuously subjected to trials. On one occasion Syedna Ezzuddin (RA) was ordered by Syedna Saifuddin (RA) to journey to Mumbai immediately and in secrecy.
The trip was historic - 3 masjids (New Jersey, Boston and Washington) were inaugurated. Thousands of people came to the iftetah of each masjid - close to 2/3rd of the Dawoodi Bohra population of the US and Canada received the honor of deeedar and qadambosi of Maula (TUS). It had a profound effect on the mumineen and particularly the children, many of whom had never done qadmabosi before. Maula (TUS) left the US Bohra community stronger and yearning for his presence again.
Syedna Qadin N'oman (RA) has laid down theories on food as prescribed by Awliyaullah (AS), theories that have not and will not change with the times.
Syedna (RA) in his chapter on food, also, lists the rewards of feeding
others and teaches food etiquette.
"Meat is the king of all foods in this world and the hereafter; water is the king of all liquids. Meat helps develop the body's muscular structure. If one doesn't consume meat for forty days his character shall regress."
Allah granted Rasulullah (SAW) a resounding victory at the hands of Maulana Ali (AS). The angels fought the kuffar in Badr, as testified by the Quran. 14 people were killed from the Muslim army; on the other hand, 70 kuffar were killed, including their leader Abu Jehl. News of the first victory of Islam---how the mighty Quresh were defeated at the hands of a small Muslim army and the standing of the young Maulana Ali (AS) as an invincible warrior-- spread far and wide amongst the tribes of the Arabian peninsula. This greatly strengthened the foundations of the Islamic state and made the Muslims a force to be reckoned with.
